Posting on LinkedIn: the short version
- Length
- 150–250 words is the sweet spot. Your first two lines are the whole ballgame — only about 210 characters show before “…see more,” so put the hook there, not “I'm excited to announce.”
- Formatting
- Short paragraphs, one idea per line, white space everywhere. Write like you talk (see the example posts above — that's the register).
- Hashtags
- 3–5 max, and always #CreateOutLoud. Hashtags matter less than they used to — the content itself does the traveling.
- Tagging
- Tag us — @Alaina Clark, @Christina Li, @lillyscholarsnetwork — and anyone genuinely part of your story. Don't tag for reach; tags work when the tagged person actually responds.
- Timing
- Tuesday–Thursday mornings are strongest, but consistency beats timing. For this challenge, just post each day — the streak is the strategy.
- Links
- A post with an external link travels less far. If you need one, put it in the first comment.
- After you post
- Reply to every comment in the first hour or two. The conversation is the post.
Above all: one true story beats ten polished announcements. You saw us do it on stage — now it's your turn.
